This weekend I did the Mulvane Art Fair on the grounds of Washburn University in Topeka, KS.  We were able to rent dorm rooms on the campus while doing the show, and my suite mate was Patricia Young, another potter.

I had a few minutes before the show and was looking around at the other booths there and was especially taken with the pottery in one booth and spent quite a while admiring it.  As I was leaving, I looked to see whose work it was.  It was Patricia's!  (You probably guessed.)

Near the end of the show, she asked if I would want to trade.  Are you kidding?  YES!!  Here are the two beautiful vases I came home with:

Check out  her amazing work.  It's Claypatra Creations at http://claypatra.wix.com/clay.  Make sure to put in the whole address, because the page didn't come up when I left out /clay.

    o happy clay!

I spent many hours as a child poring over fairy tales books and copying the illustrations.  And having grown up in a large family with no room for clutter, I came to appreciate things that were both functional and beautiful. My studio is in the middle of my organic garden.  Between gardening and working with clay, it seems like my hands are never clean!

Before ceramics, I spent twenty-five years in fine art and graphic art, including ten years as a sign painter. My work has won several awards, is in galleries across the country, and has been exhibited in national shows.

What Our Clients Are Saying

I just had to write and tell you how much we love our new pottery!  The tulips are perfect on our onyx dining table, expecially in the afternoon when the sun shines on them.  The triptych, ewer and vase make me smile every morning when I walk into the kitchen.  So glad I finally made some decisions!  Peggy P.
We wanted to let you know how much we love the crane vase.  It's absolutely beautiful and has found a home on the cabinet between the living & dining room - that way it can be appreciated from all sides.  Jim & Celia
Thanks again!  They make me happy, happy, happy - especially when my friends see them.  Shirlee A.
Oh, Peggy - the butter dish is exquisite!!!!  I adore it - and all your work!  Thank you so - it's prominently displayed and brings me great joy!  Barb. E.
