Oval serving piece can be a decorative box or used for food. It is wheel-thrown from red earthenware then finished with the majolica process, brushing colored ceramic stains over the unfired white glaze. Once fired, the color sinks in and becomes one with the glossy glaze. The interior is uncolored white glaze and the bottom is smooth red earthenware. 8" long x 6" wide x 7" high.

Lead free and safe for any food. Hand washing recommended, the microwave is not.
