Red earthenware is slab-formed with hand-built additions. The piece is fired once and then finished with the majolica process (brushed ceramic stains and oxides over the raw white glaze) before being fired once more. The process gives a water color look to the design but with the durability of glazed surfaces. Color will not fade or wear off. Safe for all food. Not microwaveable.  8.5"L x 5"W x 3"H
