Unusual and beautiful, this cup set is also functional. Customers have commented on how comfortable the vine handles are. The set is made of earthenware and finished with the majolica process, giving it a watercolor look which is nevertheless durable. The tray is an oval of copper blue-green loops and red "poppies" on a golden yellow base. The bottom is smooth, unglazed terra cotta. Each cup holds 12-14 oz. Cups are wheel-thrown, tray is slab-formed and hand-built. Edges on all pieces are compressed and rounded to make the work chip-resistant. Lead-free, safe for all food.
